Windows xp microsoft update loop

Are the updates all particular to. NET or are they just all available updates?? Friday, August 26, PM. Yes, all updates are related to. Monday, August 29, AM. Can you tell me what to do now all updates are related to. Monday, August 29, PM. Tuesday, August 30, PM. Thursday, September 1, AM. Problem is solved, thank you. Just the endless loop. Found out how to do this.

My coworker suggested running IE in safe mode. The first page it brings up asks to run updates. I click that, and it prompts to install another Windows Update software package, and now things are working!!!

Spread the word! No, when I then check for new updates after I install that new update agent from Microsoft, it then does the loop. I am having the exact same issue, on every server that I have attempted so far. Any solution for this yet? Nothing updated yet. Let's get this spiced up. This has GOT to be affecting more people.

Chris, any update on your side? I have followed this string since I too encountered this problem. I received an email from a Microsoft Engineer after I posted this problem on the microsoft forums.

Basically he stated there was no issue which I do not believe. Anyway, this worked for me - after the new agent is installed. I wish I could post a video of what it's doing. I've run into the slow problem too on other computer, but this is something entirely different.

It's literally like someone is hitting the refresh button on the page when it comes up and says it's checking to see if I have the latest Update software. I should also have said that if left alone, eventually it will give me a page not found error. Have you tried tweaking. It includes a lot of common repairs including Windows Update. I have tried the tool from tweaking.

If it let you install the update, you should then be able to close IE and reopen windows update. Ive had this issue multiple times and that has always fixed. If it doesnt, you have ran into a new issue ive not witnessed. I had similar experiences with 64 Bit versions if IE. However, my experience was with the Win7 x 64 OS.

If you're using the Bit version, make sure you try to update using the Bit version of IE. Sign in here. Windows XP Existing user?
