Hi im on Orange Uk did the update yesterday and could tell the difference straight away! Everything is faster and smoother! On orange uk and updated ota yesterday. Quick re install of swype sorted that issue out. Just be sure to rename the correct files. This is an optional step but means you can revert back to the branded firmware if needed.

Do the same with the second. Any ideas? You are doing everything correct but might be doing one thing wrong. You have to do a complete reset of your X Connect your phone to SEUS. Repair the software. SEUS Will down load the files. This time, SEUS will not download the files as it will recognise the renamed files as the one that it needs to download anyway.

Looking at the battery status the screen usually takes up most of the power now not the cell standby and phone idle. This is with wifi, bluetooth, and gps off. The sound is great through headphones.

I think the ring tone is louder too. If someone from Sony would like to add to this it would be appreciated. X10 Convert Most of these features were already there in the previous version…except Mediascape in Landscape, including neoreader n stuff..

Download the file. Install by using flashtool. Before updating, make a backup using the backup and restore app. It will save all your contacts, messages and even your apps downloaded from the market. After updating to the new FW, let the software settle down a bit maybe an hour then run the backup and restore app, restore everything there. Make sure you have a WIFI connection because your device will automatically connect to the market to install all your previously downloaded applications.

I thing some people are on here just to take the piss. You are all talking about new Mediascape landscape mode and Timescape. I got this in previous update how they called it Android 2. There is nothing new only better stability of Android 2. Usually takes weeks after first rollout for 3mobile to get it out there. Which is reasonable imo.

Can anybody tell me, what firmware and baseband is shown in the Vodafone UK for the x10? I think Vodafone was running the generic version? At least this is the case for me. Try to erase gmail data from applications management. Orange uk, still no update…. Anyhow hope will get it soon….!!!! No update yet on GGL generic. So those of you checking everyday and posting that there is still no update available may be waiting a long time. Sony is taking the camera application from OS2. No update in Greece as well. I flashed the German update the other day and noticed a huge improvement with everything, instathen I rooted, installed xrecovery and jit etc and removed the useless Sony crap and the phone flew! Still no update for generic!! I have flashed German new update, I managed huge battery life improvement about 2 times longer!!!
